I am a single grandmother of 7 grandchildren – my babies. They range from age 1 to 13. My family is the center of my life.

I live in the great state of Oklahoma. I transplanted here when I was around 30 years old. This is my home state. This is where I raised my children and where my grandchildren have been raised.

I was born in Illinois, the youngest of 3 children and the only girl – in fact my parent were each the youngest in their families. I was raised in the Quad Cities on the mighty Mississippi. I dreamed of Huckleberry Finn adventures.

I also dreamed of someday seeing Pike’s Peak – and ended up living at the base of it for 4 years. Then back to Illinois, and finally the move to Oklahoma. In my Senior year in High School, I was in the musical Oklahoma at our school. I felt a kinship with this state.

I also work in the aviation world engrossed in the world of databases. I was introduced to the PC on a PC2 and have grown and learned since then. Due to several mentors at work, I learned alot about databases, and even some programing – very little.

Now I am nearing retirement.  I decided to try some online stuff to get a supplemental income.  Plus it gives me something to learn and to keep me busy (like I am not already).  If it weren’t for that, I probably never would have been introduced to blogging.  This blog is for me to jot down my thoughts, etc, as I go through life.  It is like a journal.  I will have this to read back on when times are grey to rememeber the happy times.

Life has had its ups and downs, but God was always there to help me. And He will be til the end. And from this comes my handle – Joyntheir – The Lord is my Joy. We are joint heirs with Christ.
